Take this small one bedroom flat in north London. The client wanted ‘ a big squishy sofa’ but after visiting the flat I could see it was going to be a challenge but hey we like challenges.

As with most flats that are not on the ground floor access for large pieces of furniture can be a problem and this was no exception. The only way a sofa could be moved into the flat and the living room was going to be upright through the doors therefore the sofa would have to be less than 2m long and less than 1m deep – not exactly big and squishy.
